Good Day All-

I am putting together a Spring Training camp for the Weekend of March 20th 2010.

The details are still being hammered out, but basically it's a come, train, have fun and do some AKTS.

Bring Spouses and/or children for the trip.  All are welcome.

The location will be somewhere in North Metro Atlanta (same area as before) around Lake Lanier.

Airfare is generally cheap coming into Hotlanta if you get tickets in advance, as it's the busiest hub in the world.

I'm working on some cheap rooms in Cumming GA.

I will pass more information on in a few weeks.

The fee will be very mild,  as it's more of a collection plate for those administering the Art and maintaining the sites and the Distance Learning Program.  Contact me if you want to know more right away.
More details to follow . . .

Hello,

I will definitely be looking for further details. While I am new and just now exploring Kuntao, I have great respect for the art. I remember when I met my friend and Pekiti Tirsia trainer, AK, that he initially told me that he did Silat. I asked if it was under the De Thours brothers and he looked at me shocked that I had heard of them, this was around 1987 or so. He trained Silat with Eddie Jafrie but had great respect for KTS.

I have trained in Wing Chun and that is my core art. I have also trained in Pekiti Tirsia and explored some Silat and Kuntao. However the opportunity to explore AKTS is truly an exciting prospect for me. From the little I have seen, this art is very effective and blends well with how I do Wing Chun.

I look forward to learning more and hopefully becoming a part of this "family" as well.

Peace,

Dave

Just got some updated information from Guru Derric concerning the Spring Training GetTogether:

Okay the name of the hotel we are using is Sun Suites in Cumming Ga., direct line 770-781-5550 (same as previous).

When calling in Reference AKTS Training, and folks will need to speak with Jim, Amy or Andrea.

Cost for one person per night is going to be 54.99 (includes small kitchenette for cooking), cost for two people if they go together in the room would be 49.99 per.

Folks would have to work that out on their own, along with their reservations. If we get ten rooms booked, the cost comes down to 44.99 per person regardless of if they double up or single room it, so long as the room count is ten.

Okay Group, Let's start getting some commitments and or declines for the Spring Training Camp.  The time is rapidly approaching and I'd like to get a Yea or Nay from all on the board.  So who's in?

I am definitely going to try and make it. Since I live about an hour and a half away, I will most likely not need a hotel.
