“Silat” is the term used to define the myriad indigenous warrior disciplines practiced by the Indonesian people.

“KunTao Silat” is a term Steve Gartin used to describe the personal martial art practiced by his primary teacher, Willem de Thouars.

“American KunTao Silat” is one of the personal systems designed and developed by Sigung Steve Gartin.
